1. Basic Antenatal Care (Banc) & MOU

• Provided high standard of antenatal, intrapartum & post-natal care to all pregnant woman
• Provided antenatal education to expectant mothers
• Performed normal vertex deliveries & care of a new born
• Appropriate pain management during labour
• Ability to identify pregnancy complications, to manage complications then arrange for transfer to secondary hospital to obstetrician for further management
• Administered BCG vaccine to newborns at birth, primarily used against TB
• Educated post natal mothers on various contraceptives, administered contraceptives after birth and arrange for a follow-up.

TB & HIV

• Encourage suspected patients to take sputum samples, for TB work up
• Initiated patient on TB treatment, set up follow up dates
• Provided support on adherence of medication, educate on side effects of the medication
• Collected blood samples of HIV exposed patients and HIV infected patients
• Re-initiated patients on their treatment

Family Planning

• Provided education on various types of contraceptives
• Adminstered patients choice of contraceptives, explaining the effect of each, arrange for a follow up date
