• Always monitor adherence to production specifications, i.e actual vs targets etc. This relates to efficiency of the equipment
• Advice line management on improvement opportunities from time to time
• Assist with the development of standard operating procedures of any equipment.
• Ensure equipment spares are readily available and minimum stock levels are maintained, reports to be shared weekly
• Perform troubleshooting exercises to identify and resolve all issues efficiently
• Assisting with startup, operational efficiency and shutdown of facility equipment.
• Identifying problematic areas that lowers the availability of the plant and provide solutions
• Ensuring that safety and environmental rules and programs are strictly adhered too
• Establish maintenance strategy that will ensure effective prevention of equipment breakdowns.
• Establish maintenance planning schedules for the delivery of weekly activities and communicate accordingly
• Effective scheduling and monitoring of specific project equipment, manage backlog and labour limitations / constraints
• Develop and maintain the site maintenance schedules, analyse data regularly, identify trends and areas of improvement
• Develop a system that will ensure full participation of all team members to best address as arising issues.
• Initiate procurement of spares and consumables to ensure availability
• Create job cards, with job safety analysis, in advance to ensure timeous availability of materials, skills and resources
• Provide feedback and input to the site engineering team and line management on weekly basis
• Allocate labour resources and equipment to scheduled and priority activities to maintain and ensure high levels of labour, equipment and operational performance standards
• Establish procedures for abnormal work requirements which fall outside of standard procedures
• Consider, suggest, test, and collaborate with other members of the RE team on project execution and communication tools and systems to better serve clients
• Ensure daily effective supervision of the engineering team
• Ensure daily plant inspections are conducted, documented, analyzed / reviewed and that creation of job cards takes place.
• Prompt identification of recurring defects and inefficiencies must be flagged, analyzed and assist with close-out thereof
• Undertake to audit the satisfaction of the operational team to ensure adherence to the correct use of equipment’s, their safety and productivity
• Establish stakeholder relations with all relevant OEM for various equipment’s, to ensure effective technical support
