
The candidate is currently employed at the Department of Correctional services as a Security Officer. The appointment to this post was undertaken in May 2008. On the 01 April 2016 the candidate was placed at the Social Work Section to further her studies in BA (Health Sciences and Social Services) with a Specialization in Psychological Counseling, which was completed the same year. Ever since the candidate developed interest in Social Work. As a result, she registered and started practicing as a student social worker since November 2020. Being exposed to the policies, ethics and operations concerning social work services. The social work qualification was then completed with UNISA in 2024. The candidate registered with the South African Council Service Profession (SACCSP) on the 12 April 2024. Since the registration, the candidate has been assigned the responsibilities pertaining to social work services such as providing needs based social work services. The candidate has an insight on the public legislative relevant to the field. A self-driven individual who can function under pressure, willingly immersed in everything she does, as she is driven by courage and determination to provide a class quality service to the clients. Able to conduct programs motivated by needs assessment, counseling skills, communication skills, negotiating skills, report writing skills, interpersonal skills. Knowledge of promoting social well-being of clients and understanding relevant legislations of public services. Capable of performing assigned duties with minimum supervision. The candidate has an ability to work independently and team work. Respectable previous work record (performance and attendance). The candidate has good academic background and seventeen years work experience. She would effectively achieve the responsibilities of this position by means of employing a broad range of skills and knowledge attained.
