• I am the site manager of the Matla milling plant project at Matla power station under Steinmüller Africa, I make sure my day to day maintenance schedule, planning and tasks are met are per the client requirements. I make sure that the mills don't occur breakdowns after returning to load from service/overhaul. I provide the client with quality maintenance planning and scheduling.
• I am part of a team/ Project that is currently maintaining coal Mills at Matla power station for better efficiency and I do commissioning of the mills and feeder after every overhaul and services and also I test run the lube oil system and feeder test run to check all the parameters if they are still within the required specification.
• I ensure that the planning of the running mills to services and overhauls is maintained efficiently by having a mill master report which is updated every week.
• I plan ahead for the mills and do investigations when breakdowns occurs.
• I do final inspections before the clearance of the permit.
• I did commissioning of Fabric Filter Plant at Majuba power station where I recommended to inspect all the air hose and joints using soapy water since the plant was losing a lot of air and that affected the efficiency of the plant.
• I was part of the mill maintenance at Camden power station where I did recommendation of keeping the status of the milling plant in good condition. By doing so defects were recorded and a reports were issued outlining all the defects and recommendations to eliminate them
• I was part of the team that manufactured valves at Bilfinger Intervalve, I manufactured the VA500 and tested them and issued out testing certificate that included all the technical information for that particular valve.
