I assisted students with issues of mental health, funding, accommodation, financial and academic exclusion.

I mostly dealt with issues of financial exclusion as many students faced a lot of financial constraints preventing them from fulfilling their dreams. I collaborated with my fellow subcommittee members and we secured funding for a number of Engineering and Built Environment students. This was a huge victory for the SRC Support Office.

Organized internal Moot competitions namely the Thulamela Chambers Junior and Senior Moot and the Junior Heads of Argument Moot and coordinated with Law lecturers,advocates and Judges. I served as a liaison between the society and the participants, ensuring the smooth running of the competitions and adherence to competition guidelines. Additionally, I worked with other subcommittee members to ensure the success of all competitions.

• Connected struggling students with appropriate accommodations or support services when necessary for optimal learning outcomes.
• Assisted mentees in setting realistic short-term goals that align with long-term ambitions increasing accountability in goal achievement.
• Facilitated group study sessions to promote collaboration, peer mentoring, and knowledge sharing among students.
• Organized workshops on time management, stress reduction, and other essential skills for academic success.

• My duties entail Take detailed and accurate minutes of all meetings, including the date, time, attendees, and key points discussed.
• Circulate the minutes to all members of the executive committee and make them available to the general membership, ensuring transparency and keeping everyone informed.
• Keep a comprehensive and organized file of all meeting minutes, reports, and official documents.
• Ensure that records are archived in a manner that they are easily retrievable for future
• Handle official correspondence, including drafting letters and emails as directed by the executive committee. upcoming meetings, events, and any changes in schedules
• Provide administrative support to the president and other officers as needed.
• Assist in preparing the agenda for meetings in collaboration with the president.
• Ensure that all necessary documentation for events (e.g., permissions, schedules, contact lists) is prepared and accessible.
