• Provide support and input in all ER related processes within the workplace.
• Provide support and offer advice to employees and managers on ER related matters in accordance to the legislation, policies and procedures.
• Co-ordinate all the Disciplinary hearings and grievance on an ongoing basis.
• Draft memos for processes requiring approval of the Director.
• Draft charges and notice to attend hearings.
• Consultation meetings to provide guidance to line managers and finalize charges in preparation of Disciplinary hearings and/ or disputes.
• Compile appointment letters for initiators and presiding officers for processes e.g. Disciplinary Hearings, Grievance meetings and Investigations.
• Compilation of bundles for processes e.g. Disciplinary and grievances hearings; and dispute matters.
• Confirm Disciplinary issues to the Recruitment Team in preparation to the interviews.
• Coordinate and attend investigation as and when required by the investigator.
• Attend hearings and advise parties on the internal process to be followed at hearings
• Monitor the outcomes of hearings to ensure consistent and standardised applications of sanctions
• Conduct ER awareness, to implement corrective actions on discipline.
• Review and update the Policy on Discipline Management and Grievance Procedure and submit to the ER Manager for approval to the HR Committee
• Provide interpretation of the Policy to staff members.
• Monitor compliance with the Policy across the organisation.
• Attend and/or participate in regular team (OHS/EE/EW/ Risk/ Compliance meetings.
• Ensure all IR actions and matters comply with legal requirements
• Ensure that communication related to the department is accurate.
• Update the Barnowl system as an when a reminder is received.
• Input to the ER Budget
• Collaborate closely with the ER Team to align employee relations and engagement strategies with broader ER&E objective
• Represent HR ion OHS meetings

• Process cases accurately and timeously according LRA and CCMA standards.
• Handle all correspondence of the office and ensure that commissioners are kept up to date with incoming mail and messages, and that all correspondence is replied to.
• Checking for CCMA jurisdiction in terms of issue, Bargaining Councils and Department of Labour.
• Provide/ perform functions as required from time to time, which will enhance the CCMA operations.
