I am currently part of Project Accountant Programme that aims to expose newly qualified Chartered Accountants to different business units within FNB. To date I have done rotations as Finance manager at FNB Central Finance, Cash Investments and Forex Product House.

• Project costing and work items costing.
• Compilation of monthly VAT Returns and reconciliations.
• Monitoring financial performance by measuring and analyzing results against budgets and forecasts.
• Preparation of budgets for hyper segment and SLA's.
• Monthly financial statement preparation (HFM).
• Preparation of monthly hyper segment management accounts and presenting them to relevant Exco.
• Preparation of monthly Bank Act returns.
• Compilation of quarterly tax packs.
• Preparation of month end segmentation journals.
• Trained new staff members in various financial procedures to prepare for job requirements.

During this period, I completed my SAICA articles with Deloitte to qualify as chartered accountant. I have experience in auditing companies operating in the following industries : automotive, healthcare, mining, chemicals and consumer products , renewables and logistics industries. Below are some of activities I was involved in:

• Leading planning, execution and completion of year end audits
• Managing and coaching of junior staff members
• Liaising with clients to address any audit issues.
• Performing first review of financial statements.
• Performing risk assessments (including using analytics to support decisions)
• Current and deferred tax assessments. VAT and PAYE compliance testing.
• Performing company valuations and impairment assessments
• Assessment of budgeted cash flows for reasonability.
