Vakai Chidari

My name is Vakai Chidari, an experienced, passionate, highly motivated, and dedicated geophysicist with a Master of Science degree in Geophysics from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Zimbabwe. I have over five years of experience in conducting geophysical surveys, data collection and analysis, and interpretation for various projects in South Africa and abroad.

I have strong skills in geophysical methods, such as seismic, gravity, magnetic, and electrical techniques. I am also knowledgeable in software tools, such as MATLAB, Python, Geosoft Oasis Montaj, ArcMap, Surfer, Res2DINV, Mag2DC, ZondGM2D, IPI2WIN. I am proficient in English and Spanish, and I have a basic knowledge of French.

Some of my key qualities include strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team. I'm always looking for opportunities to collaborate with others and share my knowledge and expertise. I am a fast learner, a team player, and a problem solver. I enjoy working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment and I am always eager to learn new things and take on new challenges.

I am looking for opportunities to apply my geophysical knowledge and skills in the fields of exploration, mining, environmental, or academic sectors. I am interested in working as a field geophysicist or teaching/lecturing it, as I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and experience with others. That way I can continue making significant contributions to the field of geophysics and inspire the next generation of geoscientists through teaching and mentorship.

I am willing to relocate and travel as required by the job. I believe that I can be an asset to any organization that is looking for a qualified, experienced, passionate, and motivated geophysicist.
