Work History

Sr Chemical Product Compliance I

IDEXX Laboratories
04.2021 - Current
  • Use my manufacturing process expertise and experience to determine product formulations and build processes that allow IDEXX to meet our chemical compliance obligations.
  • Compile all technical materials for chemicals, and formulations required for submissions, and global registrations.
  • Research scientific and regulatory information in order to write, edit, and review reports.
  • Compiles all materials required in submissions, and global registrations and compliance obligations. Recommends changes for labeling, manufacturing, marketing and clinical protocol for regulatory compliance.

Associate Scientist II

IDEXX Laboratories
04.2020 - 04.2021
  • Utilized protein purification FPLC, BCA Assays, SDS-PAGE Gels, synthesis and latex particles coating techniques.
  • Revised, updated SOPs as needed and used detailed manufacturing instructions and SOPs to complete assigned production activities according to quality standards.
  • Worked with the R&D group on pilot scale runs of new products and performed transactions for work orders using SAP software.

Associate Scientist I

IDEXX Laboratories
02.2018 - 04.2020
  • Running SNAP tests, reading RW WW HW ELISA Plates, analyzing data using JMP software, interpreting results and generating reports.
  • Strong understanding of FIVE X approach to laboratory problem solving as a result of working closely with the FIVE X team for ~2 months.
  • Manufacture SNAPS for various research teams at IDEXX for testing/research purposes including filling SNAP bases for projects and served as primary point of contact for IDEXX research groups to submit requests for the Pilot Plant and maintained accurate PatentSafe records for all projects.

Research Experience

Department of Chemical Engineering,University of Maine, Orono, ME Spring/2016

Desalination System Design,

Designed a model that obtained desalinated water from sources such as the ocean without the large energy inputs and at a lower cost. The process was modeled and scaled up using MathCAD and ASPEN. Compiled a 50 page technical report and presented to the thesis committee.

Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Maine, Orono, ME Spring/2016

Solvent Change System,

Studied the existing design of the chemical plant; changed the solvent from benzene to methanol and came up with a new recovery system. Reduced the capital and operating costs of the proposed design by 30% while maintaining safety standards.

Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Maine, Orono, ME Fall/ 2015

Column Distillation,

Separated a 12% water and ethanol solution using an existing distillation column to have a maximum ethanol concentration of 80% in the top product while minimizing the ethanol in the bottom product.
