  • Tafta has 13 facilities that my team and I maintain. As the Senior Manager, I interact with various managers.
  • Interacting with Area Managers is to ensure that all daily maintenance issues are dealt with, all renovations are done to the highest specifications and standards possible, all Capex projects are executed, and that my division is carrying out its roles and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated exceptional adaptability in navigating complex situations or rapidly changing environments with ease.
  • Evaluated vendor offerings critically to select the most appropriate partners for delivering desired results at optimal costs.
  • With Catering Managers, I ensure that kitchen equipment for the three main kitchens and the other kitchens is functional, either repaired or replaced through Capex where necessary.
  • I am part of the Health & Safety Committee, dealing with all issues at the center.
  • All renovations to life rights units go through me with regard to specifications and standards.
  • I took over this role after it was vacant for six months, so there was substantial backlog in maintenance with a shortfall in processes and standards.

  • Picking up illegal practises by a Contractor and turned around that Project from the Client owing the Contractor monies to the Contractor owing the Client money
  • Identifying overclaims in a Final Account on items claimed, quantities claimed, specifications where not followed, no Building Contract in place, no procurement process if there was the lowest price was not used, no Client consultation, etc.
