- Update cross functional SOPs to reflect Tx Producers' new ways of working.
- Mitigating on air risk impact by providing pro-active error avoidance solutions and agreed plans for alternatives and backup plans etc.
- Take charge and manage linear channels new requirement projects.
- Give direction and collaborate with multichoice cross functional stakeholders and provide a functional Entertainment Based Reporting tool that meets business reporting needs that is aligned with cross-functional processes.
- Plan and co-ordinate General Entertainment channels requirements such as channel launches, rebrands, international and local high profile live events etc with multichoice cross functional teams according to cross-functional processes.
- Coordinate end to end testing with multichoice cross functional teams 3 weeks ahead of launch to meet business timelines as per business new channel launch process.
- Give direction on editing requirements for international live shows in preparation for linear broadcast, video on demand and OTT publishing requirements.
- Project manage launch of Project Silent with multichoice cross functional stakeholders.
- Proactively flag or mitigate risks that will affect content availability for projects, new requirements (live and non-live) ahead of broadcast.
- Analyze and evaluate on-air ways of working and systems - identify gaps, propose solutions.
- Identify and implement an improvement that moves the needle
- Drafting Quality control processes and workflows as business evolves to ensure reduction in errors and ensure processes and SOPs are adhered to.
- Mitigate on-air error risk by planning, engaging and documenting backup for live feeds across the clusters.
- On Air Error Root Cause Analysis, investigation, and feedback report to HOD and all stakeholders within 24hrs and mitigate further occurrences.
- Assess potential risks of on-air errors, escalation and find mitigation within 24hrs to broadcast.
- Conduct end to end testing of new launch, rebranding, migration, and termination of channel/s from playout through to Head end.
- Maintain correct On-Air Graphics kit & other channel requirements for TX with Channel Marketing on a two-weekly basis. (Below 80% IS750 box capacity)
- Actively participate in Playout and On-Air sessions whenever there is on air impact or potential in order to mitigate the risk and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure SOPs are updated regularly, as business requirements changes.
- Ensure all relevant on-air communications and elements are created in the correct format and delivered in time and maintained with channel marketing.
- Establish and drive cross-functional Project team for Channel Launches.
- Undertake regular meetings with Tx Producers and conduct operational information sharing & feedback to Line Management.
- Spearhead all channel launches & terminations as per channel launch documents & dates.
- Facilitate channels rebranding and HD workflows with Channel Marketing Dept. as per deadlines.
- Manage special live event channels & quick turnaround according to business deadlines.
- Spearhead additional projects as and when required by business & provide monthly documentation & reports according to deadlines.
