- Worked for Free State Department of Health (Ethembeni Clinic, Koffiefontein, Letsemeng Local Municipality, Xhariep District), as an Environmental Health Practitioner duties were:
- Waste Management: It included both general waste and medical waste whereby I check if the waste is segregated correctly and if waste is collected regularly.
- Water and Sanitation: It included water sampling and check for waste water spillages in the townships.
- Most of the time the community will notify us and then the place will be inspected for health implications to the community and relevant Municipal people will be called to come and solve the problem.
- Health educations about different communicable diseases to the patients and the personnel in different health facilities, day care centres, schools, orphanage homes and old age homes.
- Pest control where health facilities will be visited to check if they have pest control plan in place.

- Health Surveillance of Premises: Different shops and clinics where visited to check their ventilation, lighting and structure safety.
- Funeral parlours are visited to check the cleanliness, infection control, temperature of the fridges that are used for copses and check if their waste water is not connected into Municipal drinking water system.
- Environmental Pollution Control: Polluting agents, sources of water and air pollution.
- Chemical Safety: The shops that sell the Hazardous substances where the selling register is checked to see how much products they have in store and are the products under lock and key place and check if they are registered to sell Hazardous substances.

Project Officer
Enviro Mobi
- Support the project management team in regular coordination with the Municipalities and Communities for the smooth implementation of the project.
- Assist in preparation of the training materials and manuals and help to conduct necessary training and workshops at different levels as and when required in the process of implementation of the project.
- Undertake regular visits to the field to understand the ground situation and take necessary actions for improvement in quality of community mobilization.
- Draft coordinated plans with the teams of various projects to support the implementation of the project in a timely manner.
- Preparation of work plans and operation plans for various elements / components of the project on a monthly basis.
- Monitoring progress on a regular basis and give suggestions to field agents on timely manner for corrective actions.
- Assist the Project Management Unit and the executive in organisation Project Unit Meetings and Project Progress Report meetings.
