Lead and oversee the portfolio of 30 multi- disciplinary infrastructure projects worth R500 million including building, civil and mechanical type projects which includes but not limited to the facilitation and alignment to business objectives, optimal project planning, implementation and consistency of delivery standards.

Project Management, Risk and Finance management

  • Assess and prioritize programme, financial and delivery risks
  • Facilitate on mitigation actions, providing guidance to project managers on project issues and risks
  • Provide advise on appropriate procurement strategy for projects within our portfolio through detailed procurement management plans
  • Manage integration of project plans, within multiple project portfolios, impact on business, key dependencies and optimize resources

Operational Expenditure Budgets:

  • Compile operational budget and track expenditure
  • Create an overview of departments budgetary requirements-training, IT, travel, conferencing, memberships, uniforms, etc
  • Monthly management of the opex budget through forecasting and managing spend against budget.

Reporting and Meetings:

  • Member of the airport management meeting- reporting on Capital expenditure progress, risk and mitigations
  • Member of the Divisional management meeting to report on overall Project portfolio management progress across all sites
  • chair of the cluster 3 project board meetings
