Summary

I am the Manager of Phahamang Human Capital Consulting who have been in the Human Resources space for over 20 years. I have gained experience in both private and public sector including international companies. I gained extensive talent acquisition experience in external as well as internal organisations.

I am experienced in the entire Human Resources Value Chain as well as in the HR Management system from end-end, including Performance Management and Employee Relations as well as Pay Roll and Change Management. I represented the Business Unit to CCMA and administered Time Sheet for Field Workers.

I was given the opportunity (seconded) to serve in the role of Business Enablement Manager where I excelled in areas of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management (SHEQ) as well as Health and Wellness for which I won the Manager’s Award. Was appointed Section 16.2. and successfully led the Shared Services Unit to become ISO 9001 certified.

Prior to venturing into Human Resource Management, I provided Social Corporate Responsibility services (Liaison Officer) to Vaal University of Technology for 5 years. Some of my success stories were the following:

  • integrated the Street Kids back into the main stream school
  • arranged for them to attend the then President Nelson Mandela’s birthday in 1996
  • arranged for some prominent Kaizer Chiefs players to go play soccer with the Kids at The Vaal University soccer field.

Before joining the HR fraternity I worked as a Social Worker for the government where I was involved in Statutory work and focused on Adoption; Foster placement; Juvenile Delinquency as well as, as a Family Social Worker.
