  • Provide efficient, friendly and professional telephone services in patient care.
  • Assist patients in accurately completing appropriate forms, and document all information in accordance to internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist patient with the online onboarding of personal information that related to opening files.
  • Responsible for all process related to the reception-patient journey, e.g. booking, arrival and payment of patients on the Goodx system.
  • Direct all patients to the appropriate location, services (Pathcare and Radiology) and professionals (Doctors and Dentist).
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times according to the POPIA.
  • Ensure that the reception area is always neat and tidy.
  • Refer all emergency cases to the nurses station according to protocol.
  • Assist patients with basic account queries and escalate as necessary.
  • Ensure patient's Health ID consent is done.
  • Validation of patients' medical aids before each visit.
  • Collect all co-payments and account balances according to Intercare policies and procedures.
  • Relaying message from patients to Doctors.

* Assist with scheduling of receptionists.

* Assist with DDCN file of Intercare Waterstone. Adding new patients as dependants onto file and merging files.

* Identifying errors on patient files and escalating to Practice Manager for correction.

* Assisting in "on the job training" of new receptionist.
