• Reporting to the Quality Manager.
• Assessing and managing safety hazards.
• Raising safety concerns at the appropriate level.
• Preparing Quality Data Books ensuring that it has all necessary documents e.g. QCP/QITP, electrical drawings relevant to that system.
• Inspecting all C&IDs installations.
• Reading and analyzing Electrical Drawings, General Arrangement Drawings, Mechanical Hook-ups and P&IDs.
• Inspecting panels (junction boxes, marshalling panels, electrical distribution boards both AC and DC, splitter boxes and melody panels) are installed correctly as per the general arrangement drawing.
• Inspecting that instruments (Pressure, Flow, Level and Temperature) are installed in the correct location in accordance with the General Arrangement Drawing and according to the correct mechanical hook-ups.
• Inspecting that impulse lines of the instruments are installed and connected to the correct tapping point in accordance with the P&ID.
• Inspecting that cables are connected correctly, and it is the correct cable type using electrical drawing (electrical hook-up drawings, termination schedule and the cable schedule).
• Performing continuity tests on cables to ensure that the correct cable is terminated on the correct panel and the correct instrument.
• Performing insulation resistance test (meggering) on power cables.
• Handing over installation systems to the client.
• Going to the suppliers to inspect panels and cables during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Fault finding.
• Terminating splitter boxes, Junction boxes, CCG boxes, Distribution boxes, Melodies, Network panels.
• Preparing check sheets for main data books.
• Ensure that specifications documents are used by supervisors when installing.
• Record all defects or non-conformance on the punch list.
