My name is Thembeka Cele. I am a qualified and registered social worker for the year. I have an unendorsed Code B driver's license. I have 5 years' experience as a Social Worker, working with people in need of care and protection. In my former position as a Social Worker, I was working for an NGO and my job was more focused in child protection services whereby crises intervention, Form 22, Safety and Risk assessments and alternative care is provided. I have experience in Substance abuse, Behavioural problems, child neglect, people living with disabilities, sexual assault cases, people living in streets, families as well as Gender based violence cases. The method of intervention is dependent on the severity of the case. I incorporate all three social work methodologies, individual casework, group work and community work dependent on my Caseload. I have a passion promoting the social wellbeing of my community and advocating for the rights of my clients. Empowering others and creating an enabling environment for sustainability and selfworth is fundamental to be successful in my career as a Social Worker. I have strong work ethics and professional conduct when performing my duties as a Social Worker. I have advanced administrative skills as I was responsible for writing background reports, CCI reports, and other necessary reports in the line of duty. I always keep myself up to date with the public service as well as social work related legislations, policies and guidelines. I always utilize my organizing, written as well as verbal communication skills to meet the needs of the clients. I am adept at resolving issues, excel in collaborative environments, and adhere to deadlines while providing the best possible service to the clients with the goal of proving myself and helping the clients to the best of my knowledge and abilities.
