-Maintenance and installation, commissioning microwave radio and rural radio networks

- VSAT installation and maintenance

- ADSL and telephone line installation and maintenance

-Planned maintenance, facility maintenance and commissioning of telecommunication equipment i.e.

SDH links (hiT 7025, hiT 7030, hiT 7090, hiT 7070, hiT 7080), OTN (hiT 7100, hiT 7500), PDH systems, Cisco routers and ZTE routers.

-Worked on AC , DC supply as well as different Rectifier systems

-Utilized tests instruments like SDH Analyser, OTDR OLTS E1 tester OLTS Multi-meter, Megger tester and Satellite finder

Worked at Broadband infraco from 2013 to date: doing

-Planned maintenance, preventative routine maintenance and facility maintenance

-Installation, commissioning and decommissioning telecommunication i.e. SDH links (hiT 7025, hiT 7030, hiT 7090, hiT 7070, hiT 7080), OTN (hiT 7100, hiT 7500), Cisco routers and ZTE routers

-Worked on AC, DC, different rectifier systems, standby generators as well as different battery technologies

-Diagnosing and repairing faults on telecommunication network using the tests instruments like OTDR, OLTS, OSA, SDH Analyser, fiber probe and multi-meter

-Maintaining Aircons and environmental alarms including cameras

-Installing and maintaining routers for DCN network which also carries environmental alarms

-Doing maintenance on different optic fiber cables which includes fiber testing, fault analyses and splicing

-Managing contractors during underground and overhead optic fiber installations according to company’s quality standard

-Managing third party for fiber repairs during fiber breaks in some portions of our network

• I worked at Telkom since 2009 as student on field of transmission at Vredendal where I got both theoretically and practical training on transmission technologies such as PCM, SDH, Radio Principles, LAN Technologies, voice over IP, Data Technologies, DWDM as well as 2Mbit/s link as Telkom supplies 2Mbit bandwidth to mobile networks.
