
Dynamic and learner-centered Learner Support Coordinator with extensive experience supporting diverse learners in mainstream schools. I believe effective support begins with seeing the child behind the difficulty, understanding their strengths, advocating for their needs, and creating a sense of belonging. • Advocate for learners who require additional support while encouraging confidence and increasing independence.
• Ensure learner support practices remain aligned with relevant inclusive education policies and school processes.
Actively engaged in DEIB committee initiatives to promote equity and belonging within the school community. – Contribute to school initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging across the school community.
• Collaborated with classroom teachers to enhance inclusion of learners with barriers to learning in mainstream classrooms.
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and therapists about the child's progress, challenges, and successes.
• Established a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students felt valued and supported.
• Provide targeted instruction in areas where students need additional help.
