Perform all tasks in accordance to the mill’s safety, environmental & quality policies.

• Assist winderman with the operation of Winder 1 (Loading & unloading of jumbos,

running of winder, size changes, joins, Preparations of cores, running of winder reel

handling systems).

• Tally & Conduct quality checks on reels produced on the winder.

• Assist with first line troubleshooting & reporting of issues requiring maintenance

interventions.

• Perform housekeeping.

• Support the PM31 operations during web breaks, planned shuts & breakdowns.

The quality controller is responsible for timber quality inspection prior to offloading at correct chipping line and at all health and safety requirements,including PPE are adhered to by the haulier drivers.

Included in quality controller work functions is timber species control to minimise turnaround times of the timber vehicle and ensuring that they are offloaded and exit the mill without delay.
