Summary

Thabo holds a BSc Degree in IT which he obtained from Potchefstroom University. He previously worked as a Business Analyst for Deloitte Consulting in Corporate Strategy. After Deloitte Consulting, Thabo joined Knotion Consulting as a Business Architect but quickly widened his scope by focusing work efforts across all the Enterprise Architecture domains where he was also involved in developing and maintaining EA capability across several organisations. He then proceeded to join Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a Manager in Enterprise Architecture with work spanning across different architecture domains and issue resolution across business operations utilizing the different business analysis related techniques. Thabo has developed experience across all EA domains (Business, Data, Applications, Infrastructure & Security) with an extensive working knowledge of TOGAF methodology as well as the Government Wide Enterprise Architecture (GWEA). To date, Thabo has assumed a number of roles which involved developing Business, Application, Data and Infrastructure architectures, IT Strategies, involvement in Security Architectures and Business Analysis. Thabo’s business and technical enablement experience spans across multiple industries including Insurance, Mining, FCMG, Energy, Public Sector and Financial Services, where he was required to interact with stakeholders at all organisational levels.

I was tasked with designs for the baseline architectures as well as developing the Solution Architecture for the integrating SAP into with the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) at SA Mint.

  • Collaborate with the SAP FI/CO to develop nad implement Finance processes that would be in line with the SAP best practices.
  • Ensure that Kansai (Japan) business requirements/ rules are considered, while keeping the required functionalities as close as possible to the standard SAP modules. These were audited in accordance by Deloitte.
  • Conduct workshops with the Finance team in South Africa to understand and model the target processes for a newly acquired Plascon.
  • The workshops included setting up the Chart of Accounts, for example, where reporting requirements and hierarchies were detailed and verified against SAP’s capabilities.
