Teaching
As an educator I engage in good class teaching by planning lessons according ATPS/CAPS on different levels with the child’s learning capabilities in mind. By preparing lessons with different approaches and methods creates a positive and safe environment for learners. Assessments are drawn up by overlooking the curriculum coverage and presenting them in a way learners can apply their knowledge. Class discipline starts with me as an educator to follow through and remain consistent in rewards and consequences so that learners can get use to a routine. By ensuring deadlines are met, planning and implementing can run smoothly. Discussions on policies and amendments are presented with staff and SGB and input is necessary for the school as a whole and to make sure the policies are presented through roles and responsibilities of school, staff, learners and parents. Regularly meeting with parents and discussing leaners academics and behaviour and how we can work together for the learners. Scholar patrol and ground duty are safety precautions that we use for learners.
