  • 1. Operations Support
  • Review WMS and operational processes to verify transactions are accurately executed
  • Audit configuration profiles and stock on hand inventory movements
  • Train staff prior to deployments on change of SOP’s and ensure enhancements are utilized after system deployments
  • Train staff on updated SOP’s, general WMS and WCS programs, and Zappi devices (RF guns).
  • Develop and analyze Location Reports, dashboards and operational reports to assist DC management to identify and respond quickly to exceptions
  • Analyze and research operational data when requested
  • Assist with interrogation of any system adjustments and relevance and accuracy of this information
  • Label new locations and verify labels in picking modules
  • Perform special projects and stakeholder requests
  • Ensure all usernames are consistent across all operational systems
  • Manage license requirements for all operational systems in the facility to ensure accurate numbers and renewal of required licenses with the respective stakeholders.
  • Ensures that procedures exist at relevant facility to guarantee client service, productivity, as well as facilities and equipment maintenance
  • Gather data to determine system and network requirements and ensure relevant Access Point surveys are conducted as required.
  • 2. Process Standardization and entrenchment
  • Fully understand all Operational functional SOP’s for all departments and create and update SOP’s if and when required.
  • Document all system changes and ensure the management of version control is in place for all SOP’s relevant to the facility and functions.
  • Ensure monthly audits of all onsite IT / EUC hardware equipment and provide assistance to DC management to ensure IT Capex replacement, acquisition and obsolete equipment processes are followed.
  • 3. System management
  • Implementation support / coordination of WMS to include:
  • Initial warehouse and customer configuration
  • User training within the facility for Go live preparation
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with IT, stakeholders and local users
  • Post implementation WMS support (1st level) for local onsite operational issues and (re) configuration requirements for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Specification and delivery of local reporting requirements.
  • Local user training and administration of associated documentation.
  • Support new release testing against DC stakeholder requirements.
  • Identify and recommend change controls to support operational enhancements and fixes.
  • Diagnose system problems, and monitor networks to ensure their availability to users.
  • Trouble resolution root cause for picking/packing issues both operational and systemic
  • Responsible for testing and coordinating modifications to the system when needed, and troubleshooting software and hardware EUC problems when they occur.
  • Research RF and barcode issues to determine root cause of operational issues
  • Ensure system compliance for all users to ensure SOP is followed accordingly.
  • 4. Stakeholder Management
  • Effectively communicates relevant IT-related information to DC management and manage and escalate stakeholder’s requests as appropriate.
  • Effectively build a strong working relationship with Pepkor IT to resolve complex issues.
  • Produce and develop operational reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to support operations teams.
  • Respond timeously to all inquiries about WMS and/or other related computer / system related issues
  • May be required to be “on call” outside of normal business hours in order to resolve system failures or other problems after deployments/ optimizations.
  • Point of contact for all WMS, WCS, Telematics, Per4mer, Cloud link, Biometrics, G-suite and other operational system issues and must work with vendors to resolve issues timeously.
  • Provide support to the DC Management team to resolve equipment and or system errors.
