• Liaise with the hatchery, feedmill and slaughter for farm related issues.
• Managing the welfare of the birds as per best operating procedures.

· Responsible for all biosecurity procedures at farms

· Do competency evaluations.

· Preparations of all relevant structures and admin for audits.

· Conduct audits and provide support and training to close non-conformances.

· Analyze lab reports to measure training.

· Identify future needs.

· Performed any combinations of the following duties concerned with raising poultry for eggs, removing chicks from shipping cartons and placed them in brooder houses.

· Cleaning and filling feeders and water containers.

· Spraying poultry houses with disinfectants and vaccines.

· Inspects poultry for diseases and remove weak, ill poultry from the flock.

· Collecting eggs and recording number of eggs laid daily.

· Pack eggs in trays select and grade them into categories from dirty, clean, cracked, small etc.

· Weigh eggs daily and record totals packed on shipping or storage documents.

· Maintain breeding and feeding reports.Performed any combinations of the following duties concerned with raising poultry for eggs, removing chicks from shipping cartons and placed them in brooder houses.

· Supervise and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving and preparing eggs for incubation.

· Assign workers to duties such as egg candling, sorting, incubating eggs and grading and debeaking chicks.

· Monitor thermometers, gauges, and chart records to detect equipment malfunctions and to verify compliance with incubator temperature and ventilation standard.

· Adjust controls to maintain specified incubating conditions.

· Inspect eggs in incubator trays to ascertain hatching progress and order the removal of chicks.

· Observe packing of chicks to verify adherence to customers and shipping instructions.
