Armory Duties:
Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on firearms, ammunition, and other armory equipment.
Ensure all weapons are in proper working condition and promptly address any repairs or malfunctions.
Keep detailed maintenance logs for each weapon and piece of equipment.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all weapons, ammunition, and related equipment.
Conduct regular audits and physical counts of armory inventory to ensure accountability
Ensure proper documentation is completed when issuing and receiving equipment
Verify that all equipment is returned in good condition and document any discrepancies
Ensure that all weapons and ammunition are stored securely, in accordance with regulations and safety standards.
Stay updated on changes to laws and regulations that affect armory operations
Housing Unit duties:
Conduct regular inspections of the housing facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulation
Monitor access to the housing facilities, ensuring that only authorized personnel or individuals are allowed entry.
Address and resolve any issues or disputes related to housing assignments or conditions
Stay updated on changes to housing laws and regulations that may affect the facility or its operations.
Prepare reports for law enforcement leadership on housing conditions, occupancy trends, and any issues that arise.
Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored
Patrol Duties: Patrol assigned areas on foot, bicycle, or in a vehicle to monitor and prevent criminal activities, ensure public safety, and respond to emergencies.
Law Enforcement: Enforce local, state, and federal laws, as well as traffic regulations. Issue citations, make arrests, and provide warnings when appropriate.
Investigation: Conduct investigations of crimes, gather and secure evidence, interview witnesses and suspects, and prepare detailed reports.
Report Writing: Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate reports on all activities, arrests, investigations, and incidents.
Training: Participate in ongoing training programs to maintain and enhance law enforcement skills, including firearms proficiency, defensive tactics, and legal updates.
