Experienced Community Research Assistant, Counsellor Supervisor, CATT/Linkage Coordinator, Project Coordinator and Fieldworker/Counsellor seeking an opportunity to utilize 9+ years of experience in HIV/TB field, Research and Community Development. Posses Bachelor of Social Science and other leadership certificates in Advanced Project Management to elevate achievement and performance with proven track record of instituting successful plans.
TB & HIV Investigative Network (THINK)
Manage and enter data into the THINK online application system to support systematic tracking and monitoring of MDR TB patients in uMgungundlovu District
Daily retrieval and dissemination of NHLS MDR TB results to relevant health care facilities
Develop and support efficient communication systems between the hospital, clinics and outreach teams
Support health care facilities and outreach teams to ensure contact tracing is being implemented
Strengthen linkage to care for patients between the DOH Hospital, clinics and outreach teams.
Monitor and support the implementation of the Enhanced Adherence intervention
Reconcile information received to ensure detection of all cases
Input information daily into the Patient CATT Information Document and update the Comprehensive TB Tracker (CATT) System to monitor the patient treatment journey
Meet with other SAFT DGH Staff (Adherence Officers, Outreach Officers and Data Officer) daily to ensure that all aspects of the patient treatment journey are being addressed and to schedule daily activities
Conduct Quality Check one to all the documentation in the files on a daily basis.
Meet weekly with the TB Technical Leader, M&E Coordinator and SAFT District Coordinator and to report on program progress and all identified challenges
Update and maintain MDR TB Register spreadsheet weekly from weekly emailed MDR Register (RIFA list), Daily GeneXpert Results lists as results are received from NHLS Laboratory, Doris Goodwin Hospital (DGH) Registered Patients Spreadsheet weekly from DGH register
Liaise with DGH DOH staff to gather information needed in the CATT system and to update information from the DGH TB Registers
Liaise and communicate with DOH Primary Healthcare Clinics (PHCs) and other facilities to ensure all steps in the patient journey are addressed
Maintain the SAFT Patient Information File and ensure that all documentation is completed and filed correctly
Conduct retention efforts as per protocol, study SOPs and SSP manual and GCP guidelines.
Contact participants and reschedule visits within their visit windows; chart notes are updated with all contact attempts
Mentor fieldworkers to ensure that participants return to the clinic for their scheduled visits as per the protocol, study SOPs, SSP manual, GCP guidelines.
Train peer educator to assist in recruitment and retention as per HIV Prevention Research Unit guidelines.
Ensure together with the Fieldworkers that all participants attend scheduled clinic visits allowing for a retention rate of ~ 95%.
Timely compile and submit Community Involvement Work Plan and community reports
Develop relevant and up to date community files for the site.
Documentation of all community activities.
Submission of weekly work plans and weekly reports
Manage conference call signature log, Community Working Group member participation in Community Working Group meetings and Regional Project Meeting
Register participants for the correct study visit
Reimbursed and scheduled participants within their visit windows
Updated locator information so that participants can be easily contacted telephonically or via home visits
File locator information forms in alphabetical order for easy access.
Record minutes of unit research meetings and team meetings and send to the appropriate staff members on time.
Order stationary, file staff leave forms for archive purposes and easily accessibility
Close reimbursement advances on time
Make sure reimbursement monies are available and sufficient for booked participants.
