Tania Leurquain

Musician
Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha,Eastern Cape

Summary

Tania Leurquain is a very accomplished brass specialist, adjudicator, conductor, arranger. Her interests lie in music philosophy and connecting the dots between classical and jazz; music and architecture; body movement vs sound vs painting. Music is food for the soul, it nourishes us and keeps us alive. The arts communicate in the most honest way and build bridges, fill the gaps between continental thoughts, cultures, ethnicities, languages and so much more. Tania's experience has been one of exploring different cultures From Belgian HaFaBra to South African Jazz and learned to understand the "other" through listening, sharing, communicating. Managing all these experiences has been enriching and it allowed her to work with various musicians - artists, and discover what the power of music really is. Catering for every musicians' specific instrumental needs and requirements is a given.
