Summary

  • I am currently employed at Mediclinic as a Senior Human Resources Service Centre Officer in the in the HR Shared Services Department, a role which I take on with diligence and pride.
  • I am also currently completing my second-year in a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Human Resources Management at Regent Business School and have completed a Diploma Theory (N6) Course at Northlink College in Human Resources Management.
  • In the past six years of working within HR, I have come to realise that I am curious and passionate about not only people, but also the art of automation and process improvement in adapting to change. In light of this, I decided to further my education and training.
  • In the earlier stages of my career, I was promoted from an administrative role to an HR & IR generalist position. I received two promotions at the previous company I was employed at. These achievements speak to my ability to learn and grow, and also my ability to apply skills and expertise by improving practices within the company. In my experience as an HR & IR Generalist, I would organize, manage and maintain new or existing staff requirements pertaining to employee wellbeing, contracts, policies and procedures. I'd manage the recruitment process, induction and training programs, and was actively involved in training line managers to correctly manage the performance management and disciplinary processes with employees. I handle statutory compliance processes including BBBEE, Employment Equity (EE), Skills Development and Health and safety. I would manage HR consulting and advisory queries, compliance or policy & procedure processes, statutory reporting, recruitment, employee wellbeing, performance management processes or any IR matters.
  • During my time at Mediclinic, I have been a team player, and went above and beyond what was expected of me to ensure that outcomes are met. Not only have I voluntarily facilitated the reduction of workload within the team and within management, but I have also contributed towards initiatives in developing and designing methods that would improve certain workflows. For example, I recently developed an excel-based nursing bonus calculator, which provides a seamless method for the demonstration and clarification of bonus amounts to staff, that can be used by my colleagues, management and other HR roles within the HR Community.
  • By nature, I am patient, considerate and objective. Qualities which have enabled me to tend to staff requests in a manner that is both respectful and insightful. My colleagues and team leader can attest to these qualities.
  • I envision a position in which I would be able to perform a variety of HR-based analyses, such as; 1) conducting psychometric evaluations and 2) analysis of employee work-styles to improve the work-life balance for employees. The latter would have a strong focus on women and parents in the workplace, in an attempt to maintain an increase in revenue, whilst maintaining engagement, happiness and general well-being of employees. This imminent imbalance is dangerously sensitive, and I would be able to add value by providing input to maintain a healthy work-life balance, before a stage of “burn-out” is reached.
  • On a more personal note, I am a mother of two extremely beautiful boys, who are currently both in school. I would love to set an example for them by completing my tertiary education, but more so, being given the opportunity to practice my skills in this manner would enable me to achieve my goals.
  • I have over 6 years of HR & Training experience in the BPO sector as well as the Private Healthcare sector as well as extensive Customer Service experience in the Retail sector and sales experience in the Financial Industry.
