Major Duties

• Carrying out safety inspections and producing risk assessments.
• Regularly reviewing and updating company risk assessment, safe operating procedures and code of practices.
• Investigating, recording and reporting accidents, incidents and near misses promptly and ensuring corrective actions are implemented without delay.
• Identifying new and ongoing safety related training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time.
• Ensuring that correct PPE is always used and availed by relevant employees.
• Compiling monthly reports as well as handling daily administrative duties.
• Plant inspection before the shift start and after the shift. Reporting of the plant fault to the management
• Ensuring the site safety procedures are followed, risk assessment and incident management.
• Ensuring that the trucks are road worthy.
• Drivers are provided with full PPE
• Drivers are not under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
• Comply with mining safety regulation such as fire extinguisher and their medical fitness

• Inspection on site conditions to determine if hazards are present and establish procedures and policies to overcome those hazardous situations.
• Assisting in compiling risk assessment & ensuring that safety regulations are adhered.
• Developing, implementing, improving the Health and Safety Plans, programmes and procedures in the workplace.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
• Identifying OHS- related training needs in the workplace.
• Conducting safety inspections and riskassessments.
• Investigating workplace accidents and reporting on OHS related activities. Conducting tool box talk training daily and Covid 19 training and enforcement.

Major Duties

• Completing branch operation requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
• Following up on work results
• Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
• Formulating pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotions; authorizing clearance sales and studying trends.
• Protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
