• Organise the priniting of moderated/amended question papers – liaising with printing and support staff - and storage.
• Monitor the actual writing of exams and visit venues to resolve any crises that arise.

• Schedule the checking of exam schedules by course convenors and collect letters of motivation regarding proposed changes to results.
• Prepare material for and brief staff attending faculty exam meetings.
• Monitor the award of supplementary and deferred exams and brief course convenors and module leaders accordingly.
• Ensure safe storage of question papers, marked scripts and results.
• Co-ordinate the checking of exam scripts when recounts and access to scripts are requested.
• Oversee compilation of information required by faculty readmission review committees, liasing with course convenors and course administrators.
• Administer class medals and prizes and organize the departmental ceremony for medal winners.
• Organise payment of external examiners as well as the submission of confidential reports.
• Organise bookings of venues for lectures, tutorials and tests for all courses, in consultation with the Planning Unit.
• Produce and update timetables for lectures and tutorials for all courses and module systems.
• Prepare reference materials for and allocate duties to academic staff for Registration Week.
• Brief course convenors on their responsibilities as required and maintain such information on the Department’s web page. Produce calendar annually.
• Ensure that relevant information is available to students throughout the year via the Departments notice boards and web page and other appropriate means of communication – especially during Registration Week, the first week of lectures and at the time for publishing results.

In the meeting of deadlines) • Computer typesetting (using TeXbased mathematical software) and word-processing (using MS-Word) of the following course related material, as required: information sheets, notes, correspondence , tutorials, exercise sheets, notices and test and examination question papers.
