I am a dedicated Registered Nurse, Public Health Practitioner, and Quality Improvement Professional, registered with the South African Nursing Council. I hold a Bachelor of Nursing Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Public Health. My professional development includes participation in various short learning programs and workshops, such as NIMART (Nurse Initiated Management of Antiretroviral Therapy), NIMDR TB (Nurse Initiated Management of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced HIV Management, Advanced Project Management Certification (APC), Lean Six Sigma - White Belt, Teach2023 Facilitator training, Project Management DPro, Quality Improvement using the Model for Improvement framework, and management of Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). With approximately 4 to 5 years of experience in clinical nursing, clinical research, program management, occupational health and safety, primary health care, clinical preceptorship, TB/HIV management, drug-resistant TB management, and quality improvement initiatives, I currently serve as a Quality Improvement Coach seconded to the National Department of Health under Operation Phuthuma. In this role, I am responsible for providing technical support to district managers on quality improvement strategies and the implementation of the Operation Phuthuma Nerve Center Approach.
