• I am the focal person for spatial mapping, data collection and data analysis at Regional Bureau of Southern Africa;
• I have been supporting 16 country operations within the Regional Bureau of Southern Africa with the designing of data collection tool for various projects using various data collection tool like Excel spreadsheet, SharePoint website, KoBo Toolbox, ArcGIS Survey 123, ArcGIS Collector and ArcGIS Field Map;
• Facilitated training on WASH KAP, CBI PDM and Participation Assessment etc. to focal persons in 16 country operations;
• Designed or customised data collection tool for WASH KAP, CBI PDM and Participation Assessment etc. and supported the 16 country operation wherever there are experiencing technical error with the data collection tool in the field;
• Ensured that the regional assessment registry for the surveys within our regional is up to date;
• Translating data collected from the other data sources into appropriate graph reports, table reports, GIS reports and thematic maps using ArcGIS, Power BI and SPPS software;
• Ensured that all the datasets collected from the surveys are curated and uploaded on the Raw Internal Data Library (RIDL) and MicroData Library (MDL);
• Worked with the 16 country operations on the creation of the metadata, data quality control, data anonymization & documentation before the data dissemination or publish on the Raw Internal Data Library (RIDL) and MicroData Library (MDL);
• Maintained and updated the UNHCR global geodatabase (replica) in order to create UNHCR office and presence maps using ArcGIS software;
• Managed and updated the operational data portal by ensuring that the population figures, documents and links are up to date on the monthly basis;
• Used the data collected from the various source to create statistical dashboards and Secondary Movement Dashboard, VolRep Map etc. ;
• Collated the quarterly and annual statistics for the person of concern within the Regional Bureau of Southern Africa in order to inform Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) as per performance plan targets;
• Responsible for designing of the high-level report such as the strategic planning report and annual report (DRC- RRRP_2020, 2021 & 2022) using the adobe InDesign and Illustrator software;
• I was part of the 2022 UNHCR Information Management Officer ERT roster supporting countries in emergency situation with data management, information management and geographical information management.

• Worked with Town Planner and GIS team on all aspects of Land used scheme for local municipalities under GSDM ;
• Worked with Tourism and GIS team on creation of District Munic Tourism dashboard and story map app;
• Worked with Integrate Development Plan (IDP) and GIS team on creation of dashboard for monitoring of the projects;
• Worked with the Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP) and GIS team on developing an App for environmental monitoring compliance;
• Captured and mapped projects for Infrastructure and Technical Service (ITS) such as refurbishment water treatment etc.;
• Used GIS to measure restriction parameters in terms of environmental management plan or EIA to support court cases;
• Used GIS and Remote Sensing to detect environmental changes such as soil, water, air pollution;

legislative acts;

• Acquired and integrated disparate datasets in terms of Spatial data infrastructures (SDI) Act of 2003 and other acts;
• Investigated the cadastral land parcels used on section 42d research reports from deed website in terms of ownership;
• Investigated the settled restitution land claims in terms of National Environmental Management Act which prohibit settlement of land in terms of Protective Areas Act 21 of 2014 and Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act 28;
• Maintained the financial compensation database for restitution land claims that fall under protective areas;
• On-going capturing of demographic statistics and cadastral land parcels from section 42d reports to manage and maintain the restitution land claims database;
• Confirmed the CPI calculations used on the section 42d research report and valuation report in order to determine the land value;
• Recalculated the area size of the unsurvey/unregistered cadastral land parcels to estimate the land cost;
• Updated the financial expenditure of the backlog and current settle land claims on monthly basis;
• Created and joined/linked cadastral land parcels with SG code (21 digit number) from deeds and SG website for mapping purposes;
• Geospatial analysis of data to improve management and planning of restitution land claims to be restored;
• Analyzed and monitored the cadastral land parcels in terms of private land and state land that has been transferred to the CPA/ Trust-Trustees using deeds and surveyor general (SG) website;
• Translated spatial and attribute data into appropriate graph reports, table reports, GIS reports and thematic maps;
• Collated the quarterly and annual settled restitution land claims statistics and cadastral land parcels information according to provincial offices to inform Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) as per performance plan targets;
• Provided portfolio of evidence to M&E; liaise with the provincial offices where there are discrepancies and advice M&E accordingly;
• Compiled monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the different stakeholders (Commissioner, Minister, members of parliaments, M&E and Management) on settled restitution land claims statistics and cadastral land parcels;
