At High School, I had been involved in assisting in coaching school rugby team and had played football as extramural activities.

I had been involved in Community Youth Development Programs and started a football team and a netball team for the youth, in which I prepared them for senior teams playing at various SAFA Western Cape Local Football Associations and one of those players ended up playing for various prominent professional football teams in South Africa, including Hanover Park FC (Semi-Professional), FC Cape Town, Bloemfontein Celtics FC and Orlando Pirates FC.
