  • 1. Incoming Material Control – raw materials
  • Sample (as per the NBL Sampling plan) and inspect incoming raw materials on a daily basis, conducting

  • Play an active part in Continuous improvement.
  • 4. Process Control
  • Complete tests on any in-process materials as required.
  • Monitor and maintain records of relevant data and report on out of control situations
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to investigate issues with material and resolve quality related issues.
  • Raise NCR’s for any issues identified.
  • 5. Hygiene and Housekeeping Maintenance
  • AIB-GMP audits completed as per schedule
  • Areas of concern to be highlighted to Managers when necessary
  • 6. Training in Laboratory techniques
  • Maintain Breakdown and Usage Database for all laboratory instruments
  • Assist with the generation of maintenance and calibration schedules
  • Communicate any deviations of the results to relevant departmental heads.
  • Verification of equipment functionality and results
  • Ensure that relevant stock is in place such as reagents, consumables, etc. and calibrated equipment are in use.
  • Rapid and accurate testing of raw materials, environmental, water and finished products
  • Train students for a given period in the routine laboratory methods and tasks required as per assigned schedule.

  • Raise NCR’s for raw or packaging materials from initiation to completion and sign off
  • Ensure product is isolated and quarantined and is sampled as per the NBL Sampling plan
  • Ensure in-process investigations includes a multi-disciplinary team.
  • 8. Plant hygiene and microbiological audits
  • Collect microbial swabs monthly on agreed areas, as per the schedule requirements and prepare them for dispatch to the various External Laboratories.

  • Identify and verify critical control point for specific products.
  • Check that COA that company raw material and packaging material delivery and ensure correct contain the correct information and comply to Clover specification
  • Test and release raw materials, interim products and packaging material according to specification
  • Control over non-conforming product
  • Quarantine all raw material, packaging material and product which is rejected and ensure it is not used in production
  • Ensure rework product is removed from the distribution stores and allocated to rework
  • Ensure rejected product that can't be reworked is removed from distribution store and destroyed or handled as per company policy
  • Ensure that product processed is traceable and assist by taking part in tractability exercises
  • Report on activities, deviations and rejections
  • Ensure that the product results on Star Trek system are updated according to 24hours production plan.
  • Releasing the final product on WMS( warehouse management systems)to ensure proper cycle count on stock and amount of good product sent out to the market.

  • Ensure all chemistry and micro analyses are conducted accurately according to working instructions

  • Ensure all results are recorded accurately, that retests are conducted on out of norm results, and that results are analysed to ensure consistency to specifications.
  • Ensure lab practices comply with GLP in order to assure accuracy of results
