Responsibilities and duties

Mechanical

· Stripping, overhauling and assembling of centrifugal, pdp, rotary, gear, vane & piston pump, etc.

· Stripping & assembling of various type of gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, etc .

· Lubrication on all machines, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, etc. .

· Carryout gas cutting and heating by means of oxy-acetylene torch set.

· Worked in boilers & powerhouse, turbines & compressors, induced draught fans and dampers.

· Maintenance on hydraulics & pneumatics, circuit design and understanding, etc.

· Maintenance on fluid couplings, flexible, rigid and self –aligning couplings.

· Training on alignment (Lazer, DTI) – minimum tolerance

· Service diaphragm, gate, butterfly valves

· Machine Shop, marking off and precision measuring, use of drill press, lathe, milling machine, etc.

Electrical

· Stripping, overhauling and assembling on motor

· Greasing the motor

· Doing fault finding

· Connecting and disconnecting motors

· Motor testing

· Electrical testing instruments

· Electrical equipment

· Gland and tracing of cables
