o Undertake strategic leadership of the Denel Dynamics Division.
o Overall responsible for Divisional KPAs,
o Ensure that the sovereign capability is re-established and maintained,
o Develop and lead the implementation of a long-term Strategic Plan for the division

o Develop, communicate and implement portfolio strategy

o Develop and ensure effective execution strategy for each programme
o Align program's execution with business strategy
o Ensure all programs/project are executed on time, within budget and in accordance with customer and contractual obligations
o Ensure department achieves performance targets as per plan
o Participate in organizational strategy development, implementation and objectives setting and achievement thereof
o Develop and communicate products strategies
o Ensure Business Units/Program's are managed successfully with focus on strategic and financial growth in line with company strategy

o People Management & Development
• Operational support to Programme team:
Follow-up the Projects (Quality, Cost, Schedule) and risks evolution: cash, sales, Design for Quality milestones and progress follow-up (manufacturing, testing,o commissioning and warrant), work packages review
o Ensure good support from other business functions to programs
o Provide support in the management of risks, implementation of mitigation plans and monitor progress
o Propose and provide support for improvement action plans in bids & projects (at Project reviews)
o Contribute to action plans in process, product and organization
• Performance Measurement
o As portfolio manager:
▪ Actual performance vs contracted performance
▪ Projects performance: Projects targets as per Critical Project Review commitments
▪ Customer Satisfaction: Safety issues and critical issues management reactivity.
▪ Risks mitigation and Savings Management: Financial commitments/targets and budget engagements.
• Business Development
o Participate in the development of marketing strategy.
o Explore and analyze market trends and assist Excom to identify new opportunities in global markets to support Business Development on order intake
o Actively lead contract (support) proposals preparations, negotiations.
• Define program scope - overall responsible for the accuracy of the program performance
• Plan and design programs – Facilitate multi-disciplinary planning sessions to develop detailed program implementation plans
• Establish budget – Prepare and overseeing cost estimate and budgets and doing forecasting.
• Manage relations with clients/stakeholders and provide program leadership – manage day to day performance of team.
• Ensure the successful implementation and management of program – provide support to team and overall guidance and reporting on performance
• Program Management and report – report on program activities and take corrective measures where necessary.
• Manage and develop staff – motivate and manage staff performance and foster an environment of co-operation, communication and customer service.
• General - Support to Business Development on marketing strategy; contract (support) proposals preparations: bid-no-bid, business plans preparations.
