• Installing of water pumps at cullet sumps in the event of a pump break down.
• Gain diverse mechanical design and handwork experience such as design and welding assembly and installation of burners of a glass furnace.
• Responsible for good housekeeping within the mechanical workshop by making sure that all tools and equipment are cleaned and stored back in place.
• Cleaning and maintenance of pump motors by replacing mechanical seals and gearbox lubrication.
• Prepare maintenance plan and plant shutdown with the mechanical supervisor, foreman and chargehand.
• Calibration of pressure gauges inside a pill storage facility to maintain constant pressure.
• Organizing of job-cards according to job description and various departments.
• Hand sorting of pills and manual encapsulation.
• Organizing and maintenance of a mechanical workshop. This included cleaning and sorting of all equipment and tools according to specifications.
• Report to supervisor on daily progress as well as compiling a report as per academic requirement.
