PROJECTS

Leak Test Failure Reduction Project

  • Investigated and resolved recurring leak test failures in a car light manufacturing process using Six Sigma problem-solving methods. Collaborated with process setters and the product development team to identify inconsistent robot glue station settings as the root cause. Developed and implemented a standardized setting sheet (SOP), reducing scrap by 9% and improving process consistency

5S Implementation Project – Workplace Organization & Efficiency Improvement

  • At the beginning of the project, the plant was highly disorganized, with tools and equipment scattered, leading to excessive search times and unnecessary waste. This inefficiency affected productivity and daily operations. To address this, I led a 5S implementation initiative, focusing on the first three Ss. As a result, search times for tools were significantly reduced, improving workflow efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Changeover Time Reduction Project – Injection Molding (SMED Implementation)

  • The injection molding process faced long changeover times, leading to production delays and inefficiencies. To address this, I implemented Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) to streamline and standardize the changeover process by using SMED, Waste Identification, Seperating External and Internal waste through these improvements, changeover times were reduced by 15%, leading to increased machine availability, higher production efficiency, and reduced downtime that increased the plant’s OEE.

Purging Optimization Project – Reducing Material Waste in Injection Molding

  • I worked with process engineers and implemented a purging optimization standard for injection molding machines to reduce material waste during material changes. Previously, excessive purging led to significant material losses, increasing costs. By analyzing the purging process and identifying inefficiencies, I developed a standardized procedure that optimized purging parameters and minimized unnecessary waste. This initiative resulted in a savings of over 2kg of purge per material change, reducing material costs while maintaining product quality and machine efficiency
