Strategic Product And Relationship Management
Thornton

Summary

Heading up a business unit at Yoyo has afforded me the opportunity to explore my commercial and people leadership capacity in ways I never imagined were possible. Working for a fast-growing organization in the FinTech space, and servicing some of SA’s biggest banks and retailers in a COVID impacted (digital) economy has been my biggest and longest sustained learning curve in my career to date. The relatively flat structure of the organization has also afforded me exposure to and participation in unprecedented strategic c-level structures, which have been a challenging yet exciting space to thrive in. The above-mentioned skills and my well-rounded character, coupled with the invaluable work experience I have gained at Engen Petroleum, Old Mutual, and currently Yoyo Group (former wiGroup) have all given me a platform to sharpen and solidify my varied skills in stable yet challenging work environments, making me an ideal candidate to any potential employer.
