Job overview

When I started at Capitec Bank, my role was of a Client Service Champion designated to welcome clients at the door, issue service tickets and assist clients at the ATM and at Self Service Terminals.
I then got a promotion in the same year to a Service Consultant, my last role.

My duties and responsibilities included, but not limited to:

  • Providing the best client service by fulfilling and exceeding the clients' expressed need.
  • Accurately and timeously gather, verify, and capture client information and necessary documents, to open bank accounts as well as for the processing and approval of personal loans, credit cards and insurance products.
  • Solving all client queries or escalating them to the relevant department.
  • Maintaining skill, knowledge, and competency in order to sell Capitec Bank products in the interest of the client.
  • Ensuring the achievement of all sales targets for different categories.
