Record minutes or decisions and communicate them to the relevant role players, follow up on the progress made. Coordinate logistical arrangements for meetings when required.
  • support the director with the administration of the directorate budget, Assist the director in determining funding requirement for purpose of MTEF submissions. Keep records of expenditure commitment, monitor expenditure and alert Director of possible over and under spending. Check BAS report (EBT) to ensure that expenditure is allocated correctly. Identify the need to move funds between items, consult with the director and compile memos for this purpose. Compare the MTEF allocation with the requested budget and inform director of the changes.
  • Studies the relevant public service and departmental prescript / policies and ensure that the application is understood properly, Remain up to date with regard to prescript / policies and procedure applicable to her work, to ensure efficient and effective support to the director. Remain abreast with the procedure and processes that apply in the office of the director.
