- Company Overview: Goodyear is an industry leader in tire manufacturing with a global presence
- Test compounds – RH191, R150, RPA, SG, Viscosity, MTE, Adhensions, Extruder water required parameters and Slurry solids as per specifications and frequency requirements.
- Release compound to user departments and ensure correct release tag is places on the correct skid.
- Perform Rheometer correlation test as per specification and frequency requirements.
- Reg tag, re-test and out resamples of off-test. Compound.
- Ensure Semi/No sure compound is red tagged, isolated and Defect Alert is raised with Plant Shift Manager and Mixing Team Leader
- Call compounder for compound disposition.
- Work shifts and be able to rotate within the laboratory area and perform all compound testing requirement.
- Lead the Laboratory team on shift when required.
- Update special request file for compounders and Technical Team Leader when required.
- Remove compound samples to dedicated area in Mixing.
- Perform basic administration and workplace organization.
- Quality Inspector
- Identify and segregate tires with defects.
- Send suspicious tires to classifier
- To wear proper PPE
- To use proper inspection tool when performing my duties
- To report continuous occurrence of defects to classifier
- To separate any tires of development as identified and by size
- To do housekeeping
- To report any unsafe or potential hazard to Team Leader
- To attend a 5 minutes safety talk before the start of the shift.
