During my internship at the Western Cape Sport School, I was responsible for teaching Life Orientation and English HL. My daily tasks involved planning lessons, marking, assessments class tests and exam papers.

• Monitored student progress and adjusted instruction to meet individual needs.
• Assessed student performance and provided feedback to facilitate student success.
• Created and implemented assessments to measure student progress.
• Built relationships and communicated with parents to provide best learning environment for children.
• Chose materials and developed lesson plans to enhance skills for individual students.
• Adapted teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs.

• I was responsible for teaching all subjects, except EMS and Creative Arts for Grade 8.
• My teaching methods included online teaching to accommodate the situation our country was in in 2020 and to make it possible for learners to continue on with the curriculum.
• Part of my daily tasks included assistance for the aftercare learners who needed extra assistance with schoolwork/homework.
• As part of my responsibilities, I had to setup exam papers and assessment tasks for Term 4. In 2021 to 2023 I was the educator for the grade 4 class teaching all subjects for the grade 6.
• I was responsible for setting up examination papers as well as memos and term assessments for the respective subjects.
• Part of my daily tasks involved lesson planning on a weekly basis and marking and assessing learners.
• I was acting HOD (2021) for the Foundation phase where I had to moderate their term assessments and exam assessments throughout the year as well as follow up on their lesson planning according to the CAPS curriculum.
• I was also responsible for the baking classes for Grade R to 6 as an extra-curricular activity as well as the Science Lab classes for Grade 4-9.

• I was responsible for teaching Life Orientation to Grades 8 and English First Additional Language 8 and 9.
• My teaching methods had to be flexible to accommodate the different dynamics in terms of diverse cultures, and learning abilities of the learners in the classroom ensuring that those who grasps the concept faster felt equally stimulated as those who required more hands-on assistance and guidance.
• My lesson planning is extremely important, this is achieved by my ability to prioritise and organise my days.

• I had a broad portfolio of subjects that I taught which required me to adapt my teaching approach per subject and grade.
• I taught English HL and FAL to grades 7 till 10, Creative Arts grade 7 and Technology to grade 7 and 8.
• My lesson planning was extremely important, this was achieved by my ability to prioritise and organize my days according to the subject and grade I was teaching on any given day.
• My ability to adapt and be innovative is what I believed made me successful in this role.
• Working in a team and working closely with my colleagues was extremely important as it gave me the ability to ensure that I was always prepared for the different tasks I was required to perform.
