Acting Head of the Limpopo department Anaesthesia
As an HCU I play a multifunctional role whose responsibility ranges from overseeing management of the very ill patients in collaboration with our physicians in Polokwane/Mankweng Complex to supporting and providing anaesthesia to specialized clinical disciplines e.g open heart surgery; neurosurgery; cardiothoracic surgery; vascular surgery and neonatal surgery to mention a few.
Providing critical support for all the disciplines that use the angiogram suite (CathLab) e.g. Radiology; vascular ; Adult and Paediatric cardiac angiograms and interventions.
Involved in the training of all Post graduate medical officers and registrars that rotate in the ICU. This has curbed the expense and brain drain of sending our registrars to other provinces for ICU training.
Employed by the University of Limpopo for the teaching and training of all the undergraduate medical students.
Ensuring continued anaesthetic support for all the medical officers in the regional and district hospital.
