  • Manage the maintenance and service functions in coordination with artisans to ensure that equipment, facilities, and buildings are always operational and compliant at all times.

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, upgrades, and maintenance services as needed.
  • Responsible in health and safety (85 of 1993) as a competent person. Ensuring employee and machinery safety and lead 5S Strategy across the site. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or non-compliant practices.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and reduce repair costs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities to identify any issues or potential risks.
  • Ensuring the effective communication between the department and the stakeholders.
  • Managing Stores Stock levels and Spares availability for responsible area.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to machinery & equipment and facility management, implementing new technologies or processes as appropriate.
