I took part in the Moot Competition 2017, the competition aims to promote awareness of the South African Constitution and its values among schools and communities while encouraging young individuals to consider pursuing a career in law. It provides a platform for learners to enhance their research, writing, and oral advocacy skills by addressing constitutional issues facing the country. The competition is organized annually by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, in collaboration with the University of Pretoria and the Foundation of Human Rights. Teams of two learners from all secondary schools in South Africa are invited to participate, with the first round consisting of written essays presenting opposing sides of a case
