On the end of 2016 I moved from Harare, Zimbabwe, to Vilankulo in Mozambique. As I had obtained already quite a good knowledge and experience within the field of electricity in Zimbabwe, I was appointed as electrician at “Baobab Beach Lodge” in Vilankulo. At this big tourist accommodation, it was my responsibility to maintain the whole electricity plan of the lodge. I was exposed to challenges and I learned a lot from this exciting period in my career. I became so familiar with new techniques that I could take another step forwards and move to South Africa. In the beginning of 2019, I settled in Hermanus where I immediately got a job as electrician and Solar PV Installer with the Platinum Electrical Company. Here I learned the techniques for installation of solar panels and wiring of inverters. At present I am still working here., Able to work with electrical drawings, Fault findings, Wiring of light switches and plugs, Installation of distribution boards, single and 3 phase wiring, Able to install solar panels and wiring of inverters both off grid systems and grid tied systems, Able to handle tools and machinery, Safety procedures at work place, Able to work as a team worker, Able to work without supervision
