School Principal
Purpose:
To be the educational and operational leader, who through collaboration, directs all efforts towards academic excellence, nurtures all staff and students and builds effective relationships with the parent community. The standards are determined by the Advtech group.
As part of the management team, I was required to;
- Constantly evaluate and re-evaluate needs and to identify strategies, priorities, goals, and targets
- Participate in weekly management meetings
- Prepare for and provide detailed quarterly feedback about the campus to the Brand CEO and Senior Management
- Provide effective leadership to create learning environments enabling learners to realize their maximum potential.
- Manage and lead all staff at the campus, aiming for academic excellence and a happy, safe environment
- Provide educational vision and direction for the staff and ensure effective teaching
- Source staff development and ways to provide parent education
- Performance management of all campus staff
- Lead the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental, and physical development of students
- Practise sound financial planning and manage budgets and spending for the campus
- Build relationships with the parents and wider community, sharing the vision and direction of the school
- Identify staffing needs and initiate recruitment and selection of staff
- Organise and plan events
- Interview prospective new parents and students
- Strive to grow and improve the school constantly (marketing)
- Compile weekly communication newsletters to parents together with the administrator, Marketing Department and teachers
- Ongoing administration and communication.
