I am a results-oriented and data-driven trader with a comprehensive background in formulating and applying mathematical models and optimisation methods to develop and interpret information that assists in risk management. I can evaluate the competitive capital market of various financial securities including, but not limited to equity, interest rate and fixed income instruments. I am an excellent individual with exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills, solving complex problems with a result-driven attitude while collaborating extensively with various teams. As a motivated individual, expanding and growing the scope of my knowledge in Global Markets within the African context; through change, key economic sectors like the financial industry is my priority. With a global mindset and the ability to connect with people at all levels, I can be a great value-added to the emerging leader programme. Given an opportunity to contribute my innovative thinking and showcase my skills, I would grab it with both hands. I hold 2 years of experience as a junior trader and working in the equities franchise in GM. I hold a Bachelor of Science and a master's degree - both obtained in chemistry (majored in materials science) from the University of Johannesburg. I published two scientific papers as the first author, and I am a part-time independent blogger - writing about economics, politics, and science.
