I am currently employed at the University of Pretoria as a Marketing and Communications Support Officer. I hold a BA in Geography, Tourism and French (UWC), a Flight Attendant licence (EPT Aviation school under Denel), a semester module in Marketing and a certificate of competence in Business Communications from Witwatersrand University (Digital Campus).
I am currently doing an Honours degree in Environmental Management with UNISA. My current position is in the Department of Family Medicine’s Community Orientated Primary Care (COPC), where I work with several research projects and managers in a trans-disciplinary fashion. My portfolio entails the maintenance of websites of different collaborative projects and teams. I also cover health events, conduct interviews, and create social media content to be posted on relevant websites.
I am a strategic-thinking communications professional adept at writing, editing and shaping copy to meet specific needs, enhance perception and drive change. Decisive and focused with expertise in team leadership, program management and complex problem-solving. Maintains positive media relations and promotes specific messages.
In early 2019, I completed an internship at Aspen Pharma Care in the Customer Care (ACC) division and in digital marketing - events management team, whereby my day-to-day duties included answering switchboard calls, monitoring social media trends, as well as managing website content and Aspen’s Social media platforms. I would publish new content as needed, analyse digital data, compile surveys and oversee all content creation activities for Aspen’s digital and social media platforms.
I possess the drive and willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals, passionate job seeker with solid organisational skills eager to secure the position.
